Axis deer are a stunning species native to the Indian subcontinent, but they have become a prized addition to the landscapes of Texas. Known for their striking reddish-brown coat adorned with white spots, axis deer are one of the most beautiful deer species in North America. Fees start at $4K.
Upland Birds
Thunderbird Ranch is home to exceptional turkey, duck and dove hunting. Texas turkeys thrive in environments that provide a blend of open foraging areas and dense cover for nesting and roosting. The Ranch’s diverse landscape provides ideal habitats for these spirited birds. Fees start at $2K.
About the Ranch
Conveniently located just 10 minutes north of Mineral Wells, Thunderbird Ranch is a hunting retreat that offers high-fence trophy hunting in undulating terrain. The ranch is beautiful with two miles of Turkey Creek, elevation changes, rock outcroppings and multiple bio-diversity habitats.
Thunderbird Ranch offers a Texas-sized welcome beginning with our beautiful 7 bedroom, 6 bath hunting retreat lodge designed with a unique rustic flare and amenities including a beautiful stone fire-pit area, granite bar, pool table, televisions for sports viewing, poker table and indoor seating to enjoy delicious chef-inspired meals.
Our outdoor facilities include over 1,000 square feet of covered patio, game table, golf driving range/putting green, and a custom-designed fire pit.
